Tash ‘too glam’ for This Morning

A few weeks ago Natasha Kaplinsky looked like a dead cert to plonk her pert behind on the soon-to-be vacant chair next to Philip Schofield on This Morning, but it seems the resident Five newsbabe’s drop-dead gorgeous good looks have thrown an almighty spanner in the works.
Bosses at the ITV show have sensationally ruled Natasha out of the race this morning, after deciding she’s “too glamorous” to fill Fern Britton’s boots. Despite being the proud mother of one-year-old Arlo, producers fear the 36-year-old is not “mumsy” enough and could alienate their core audience.
“Natasha is just too glitzy and glamorous for the job,” said a show insider. “She might be a mum but she’s not what you’d call ‘mumsy’ like Fern or Judy Finnigan who used to do it. We don’t think the loyal viewers would relate to her that well.”
Fern Britton is set to quit on birthday in July, and This Morning bigwigs hope to have a replacement lined up well before then. Stars still in the running include Big Brother queen bee Davina McCall, Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan and Phil’s Dancing on Ice chum Holly Willoughby.
Well, that’s if they’re still interested now that they know they’re all considered “mumsy”.
